ALD's Mandarin Immersion Class' innovative curriculum is tailor made for students of all backgrounds to effectively learn Mandarin reading, writing, and conversation. ALD's broad spectrum of engaging learning activities and strategies keep students interested and self-motivated. Students are grouped into small classes based on age and ability thus ensuring each student receives individualized attention. ALD students consistently demonstrate amazing examples of creativity and technical writing skills. Some elementary aged ALD students are able to perform at near Advanced Placement levels!
All ALD programs are taught in modern interactive learning environments to encourage analysis, discussion, and critical thinking. ALD's own proprietary Proper Mandarin™ Curriculum emphasizes real world Chinese language skills. It is specifically designed for students of diverse backgrounds to be fun and engaging and meets all current California and national standards. ALD's amazing high-tech facilities were designed by an award winning team of architects specifically to encourage Chinese language learning.
ALD supplements its classes with a constantly changing array of activities that help students learn and retain Chinese language such as: Chinese typing, e learning, puppet shows, music, robotics, art, targeted use of AV content, Chinese cooking, traditional dress, celebrating holidays and festivals, and much, much more!

ALD's Mandarin Conversation Class is a supplement to the Mandarin Immersion Class that provides students with additional practice in practical conversation skills. The Mandarin Conversation Class includes its own illustrated lesson books that are divided into a series of lessons starting with basic greetings and introductions and then progresses through various daily tasks and social situations.
