ALD's 2018 Chinese Summer STEAM Camp is a rare opportunity for an extended Mandarin immersion that is just like going abroad for the Summer. In fact, ALD's Summer Camp was conceived as a virtual study abroad experience.
In addition to daily Chinese language lessons, our campers explore exotic places, participate in cultural workshops, go on field trips, and experience authentic games and activities from overseas. In our camp, improving Chinese language skills and acquiring cultural understanding are equally fun and important.
Campers quickly acquire the ability to use Mandarin correctly and confidently in various daily tasks and social situations. All of the activities at ALD's Summer Camp are done in Chinese language. Campers learn Chinese from our activities through natural absorption by having a great time doing the things they love.
Language learning is much faster in our Summer Camp, as compared to regular school year Chinese language classes, because summer campers are immersed in the language all day every day.
